Winick is one of my absolute favourite comics writers (firmly in the top three, you can probably guess the other two). I know that his stuff isn’t perfect (in so many, many ways) and he isn’t the most consistent writer but when he gets it right he absolutely nails it and he often appeals to the fanfic-obsessed part of my brain. Batwing is awesome and incredibly thoughtful and my only caveat is the graphic violence, especially in the light of the realism in the current art. It is almost too much for me. The Outsiders is my favourite team series bar none (I may have gone on about this at length previously but I love them so much). And I don’t need to talk about the Jason stuff.
I have a lot of feelings about Judd Winick’s writing!

Mayyyybe. I just love them so much myself and I wrote them for the first time in ages and it reminded me that they are my favourites (together) and I want to hug them and have them hug each other and solve all their problems by having special hugs. I want them to banter and spy on each other and punch the other in the face (with affection) and chase each other all over Gotham and bond over how rubbish Bruce is at communicating his feeeeeelings and what it was like to wear the scaly panties.

Oh yes. I haven’t read anything prior to Hush yet but some of the non-Morrison stuff I’ve read has been great, especially Batman: Death and the Maidens (Rucka is the best). I want to know more about her.
